Craftsmen Industries custom fabricated elements specific for Friskies celebration of reaching a $1Billion company. On February 25, 2010 at the Towers of Nestle Purina in St. Louis, MO, the company celebrated this goal with jugglers, magicians and several decorative elements.

Kicking Cow, a full-service event and promotional marketing company located in St. Louis, MO, approached Craftsmen Industries with a concept and a basic rendering for the project. With a two week deadline, Craftsmen’s team collaborated efforts on the logistics of the event elements. An interesting fact is that the pond ball colors were determined by highlighter colors. Our paint team literally matched the paint color to that of the highlighters!

Craftsmen’s Fabrication:

Yard Art: 15 spiral elements (5 different colors)
The yard art was fabricated using 1/16’’ aluminum, routed and tensioned to the shape of a spiral

Pond Balls: 5 balls (5 different colors)
The pond balls were covered with hard coat urethane, custom painted and anchored.

Stage Banner Backdrop: vibrantly printed colors

The “Thanks a Billion” celebration was a success and the event elements added to the memorable experience.

Craftsmen Industries custom fabricated the interior shell of a 44-ft RV for Miami Valley Hospital’s Emergency Medical Services education unit. The Mobile Education Lab unit is a training unit for both EMT and hospital staff enabling hands-on education with various procedures all using the same vehicle. As the region’s leader in health care in the Dayton, OH area, Miami Valley Hospital, part of Premier Health Partners, utilizes this vehicle to offer an environment with actual emergency and training situations.

Craftsmen customized the interior of the RV, which is divided into three quadrants.

Quadrant 1 (front of the RV): This area is designed to train hospital and emergency room staff.  The area is designed as a functional and practical room where hospital setting training occurs. The driver side of the RV includes a 4-ft bump out section, which extends the length of Quadrant 1. Craftsmen customized this area with the following: active white board, two LCD monitors and curtains to enclose the training room.

Quadrant 2 (middle of the RV): A one-way mirror door separates Quadrant 1 and Quadrant 2. Quadrant 2 is a control room that allows the supervising staff to monitor the procedures being performed throughout the RV. Craftsmen customized this area with padded benches, a 42-inch LCD monitor and a desk/storage area.

Quadrant 3 (rear of the RV): The rear of the RV is accessible using three options: rear double doors, one-way mirror door connected to Quadrant 2 or an exterior side entry. The rear mimics the back of an ambulance, designed to train EMTs in a realistic environment. Craftsmen customized the following: built a pedestal, built bench seating, mounted O2 and suction connections and built storage cabinets.
